Andrew’s garden layout – one year on.

Well, you all know how much I enjoy a layout update.

So when I got this in from Andrew, I just had to publish:

“Dear Al

Its been almost a year since I documented the construction of my garden railway here in south Africa

Once you posted the you tube link onto you newsletter my viewer ship had gone up by a phenomenal eight thousand views

Here’s hoping it will be as spectacular for my next movie.

Regards,

Andrew”

Latest ebay cheat sheet is here.

If you’d like to Andrew’s first post, it’s here.

It’s funny, but when I get mailed a garden layout, my mind always wonders back to Fred’s and Cary’s. Both have bags of character.

That’s all today folks, it’s a bit thin on the ground this end at the mo.

Please do keep ’em coming. And the Beginner’s Guide is here if you want to join in the fun.

Best

Al

I build model ships also all sizes from 24 inch runabouts to 8 foot battleships. I have come to the conclusion after I started my railroad layout that they are like a battleship they never get completely done.

    Hello Andrew:
That was the top-of-the-line video accompanied by great music and featuring some wonderful guests and your family. Although I don’t have a garden layout myself, I certainly appreciate that you allowed me to view yours. Your Father looks like a train engineer. You have a lovely family. Your cat almost looked like a giant compared to your trains. Also you have a super collection of steam locomotives that are most impressive. Thank you for sharing!
    Regards, Tom (USA).

Really COOL. So does the cat take a swipe at the trains? What is the train itself laid on. Appears to ge sme sort of steel something. Absolutely GREAT.
