Track selection

from another 84 year old newbe -- HO
Considering using Bachmann E-Z track for everything.
Is this wise?
Since I don't know what I am doing. would s\appreciate experienced advice.

Brad,

The upsides are easy of assembly and built in profile for ballast under your track. They make a wide variety of track components but of course you are then somewhat limited to layout design that works with the predefined curve radius and available pieces of track.

Regardless of your track choice make sure to have ample power feeders to the track. I used a 14 gauge "buss" around the bottom of the layout with 18 gauge feeders up to the track every 3 or 4 feet to ensure even, consistent power flow to the rails.

Thank you for responding. I will have to check on the track layout design limitations.
I have a plan in mind, being modified the more I think about it.
