Apologies to who ever sent this in.

Because I get a gazillion emails a day, I thought I’d do some ‘house keeping’.

But I was far too enthusiastic and I’ve managed to bin a load of mails that I shouldn’t have.

So whoever sent this in, please do get back in touch with your narrative…

I think it’s a wonderful video, just loved watching all that freight.

A nice layout. Yes track noise level should be downtoned. My question is, when using Kato tracks that are mounted to roadbed, should you use cork roadbed under it? Wouldn’t that raise the level of the tracks to high? And if so, what would you use in place of the cork roadbed?

  6. Robert Brady says:

Didn’t have well cars in the F7 Days gp’s, do like the long freight line though.

  7. Pam Poe says:

Great job! Is this the Amherst layout? We bought track for that layout. We will have F7s pulling all kinds of freight. Thanks for posting this.

  8. Tom Duffy says:

His layout is not wired correctly using DC… He should have wired the main run in “Quarters”……!

  9. Skip L. says:

This video reminds me once again why I can’t model modern stuff nor “N” scale either. Watching loooong trains of container cars crawl slowly around a layout like drugged snakes only puts me to sleep! Give me old tinplate locomotives (like Marx or Ives) zipping around pulling short colorfully lithographed trains on sharp curves of 027 track anytime!
But, everyone likes this MRR hobby in their different own ways, and that’s what makes it so intriguing at times….

Very very good layout I would like to see more Ngauge layouts with kato track.

Nice layout, love the intermodal freight. My HO layout is Kato and I have no problem with track sound or performance. Well done.

Love the F7, still fondly remember the old Bachmann F9s, I bought three of them, matched up the two best bodies with the two best chassis and sent the resulting one wreck back as a complaint, refund, thank you. My N layout was 8′ X 2’6″ and supposed to be set in the Idaho panhandle, and I remember it as the peak of my manual dexterity – being able to paint recognisable Coke logos on the umbrellas outside the diner freehand! All downhill since I’m afraid. The star turn was a Rivarossi USRA mike but probably best used was a (if I remember right) Minitrix GE with slight mods to produce a GN U33C in big sky blue. We needed the room for other things so the layout went to share a garden shed in Somerset with some rabbits. Hope it gave the new owner as much fun as it did me.
