I downloaded all Dave’s previous videoa but unfortunately when I had a problem with my PC they had been deleted for some reason.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Would like to have seen how the actual placement of the newspaper and fabric at the start of the video was placed on the layout. Only saw his back and shoulder.
The painting of the scenery was much easier to see.
Dave’s not just a model railway buider, but a scenic model builder. Conbine the two together then you have a magnificent lay-out worthiy of Dave being calles King Dave. I have copied many of his idea’s and hint’s to great effect on my railway. Thank you Dave.

This is what happens when you finish a layout prematurely. You’ve nothing left to do. So you start over or build another building.

Great tutorial once again Dave. I have the Jarvis walls and now you have shown how to get rid of the joint with the grass will give it a try. Also looking forward to you doing your street lights as I have many of the 6v ones from China and causing a headache how to wire them up. Once again thanks for the inspiration.

Very nice job Dave. Even an experienced modeler of many years like myself always appreciates seeing and having others see how the process unfolds. For novice modelers it takes the mystery out of the most daunting and magnificent finished scene. It allows them to see that it’s all really do-able when you can visualize and break it down in to incremental steps. Kudos!
I can’t get enough of Dave’s modelling ‘tutorials’. Now I have the time, in my late 70s, and living at the other side of the world (Australia), I need all the help I can get to recreate an early 1960’s railway scene based on the BR Eastern/North Eastern Regions, using modelling techniques, and materials, which didn’t exist 40/50 years ago.
Incidentally, having spend my entire business career based in South Yorkshire, particularly Barnsley, Dave’s accent takes me right back to those years.

http://youtu.be/ji8YhTb4YrM this is part 1 which shows how adding the mod rock over paper , for Pastor Don , thank you all for your comments , most of you will be acquainted with what I have done so far , but for beginners I just hope it shows how easy it is to add some scenery to your layout . Pete the Mackem , for your 6 volt light , see if you can get one of those small plug in transformers that have varied voltage , I have some which go from 3 volts up to 12 volts , then just put the setting to 6 volts and wire them in to a connector and then to the transformer plug …..Thanks again al;l for your Comments ..Dave

Yes, what is that roll of fabric?? Gauze? Sports wrap?
I’ve used dryer sheets dipped into plaster of Paris in the past, but sometimes the dryer sheets are hard to work with.
So again, what is that roll of fabric material used in this video called?

The terrace houses and roadway next to the Brewery, look particularly good.
Whoose kits are they ? Is their assembly and road laying on any of your videos ?

Great job, but where did you get those “row houses”………a similar effect can be gotten with rolls of plaster of Paris cast material…… Just roll it out and shape it, and wet it done…….
hi al, if dave gets chance to read this or any other scenic builder one question I would like to ask and that is……………how hell do you keep scenes clean from household dust, dirt etc. must be quite difficult as there must be couple areas, like trees etc, where if you used brush no matter how soft it is could easily cause some damage etc. any thoughts please. wished I was able to do scenes but am absolutely useless at art. cheers. terry

Hi,my name is Mike, i am English but live in China. I have just retired and rather than sitting here twiddling my fingers bored to tears i have decided to build a model railway. I have purchased 4 Hornby 00 digital sets and 2 table tennis tables. The tables can go end to end creating a board 18 feet by 5 feet or side by side creating a board 10 feet by 9 feet.. So having never undertaken anything like this in my life i keep looking at what i have got and to be honest i don’t have a clue where to start. To all you expert modelers out there i say:- (HELP IS WHAT I NEED MOST) I have looked at various track plan apps online but haven’t found one that is easy to decipher. I have been receiving tips from this site which i can use as the layout progresses but getting the project up and running seems an impossible task at this point in time. Any help anyone can give me will be very much appreciated.
