I also take Residents out for a 2 hour cruise on my pontoon boat on Lake Washington in the summer, 6 at the time, which is a lot of fun.

I wish i had a chance to know you when lived in KING CO WA. Am also a model train nut. I now have all my trains in box’s for the past 7 yr .I now live in the Missouri OZARKS. Lived all over western WA the longest place was NO BEND. for 15 yr. I retired from the KING CO S.O. Know the ISSAQUAH. REDMOND LK SAMM. area well
I like this, tracks there and mountain added later. I’m thinking government bomb shelter facility, tracks only disguise.
Poo Poo Point sounds like the ideal place for the toilet paper procedure

The Christmas video that came from Farmore was really nice and interesting. ne thing that was not good was all the noises produced by the trains. I really do not enjoy these train sound as they are just so much noise. All that switching, hissing and what not is just too much. The chi=ugging is fine but the screeches does not have to be. But that’s how the manufacturer did it so I do not buy those trains with all the noise.

You neglected to say that Poo Poo Point was named after the logging railroad’s whistle sound as the engine took logs to the mainline along Lake Sammamish.

Rob, your movie and your story were outstanding. I actually felt like I could get off the train and stand alongside your people. In fact I even thought I had seen some of them move. That’s how deep your movie made me feel. Are these real towns or are they made-up towns. I think your layout is fantastic in every way. I’m going to have to dig deeper to see more of it. Mr. Sappelli, I can only assume you’ve never been trackside for the passing of a train.To get the real effect of the sound, you would need room in the locomotive for a twelve inch woofer. And yes, I have been trackside, and in the cabs steam, diesel, and electric locomotives.
I might add that a twelve inch woofer would be a tight fit in an HO locomotive.
