Fancy ferreting through years and years of posts?
Like to find the pages relevant to your layout plans so you can get going?
Then I suspect you’ll like this: a search box! I’ve called it the Golden Key.
In a nutshell, it lets you search through every post I’ve ever done (and believe me, there’s a lot of them).
But it comes at a cost. Sorry. Don’t worry though, it won’t break the bank – just $19.97. And that’s for life too. So one payment gets you a life time of searching. You can search until the cows come home, it’s yours for good.
Truth be told, without the Golden Key, the Beginner’s Guide and the printable buildings, there wouldn’t be a site at all.
Anyhow, here’s what ‘the golden key’ will do for you. Press play and have a look:
I like to see all the scenery on the layouts. Especially the water and how to do water and other items on the layouts.
Thanks,
Jim
On a fixed income I wish we had more time to in roll in the program. It looks like a very good program.

I think it is a good idea.
I subscribed to the ‘Golden Key’ when it was offered last year and have never regretted my decision. Great site! Lots of useful info, great photos & videos. I highly recommend it for all model railroaders.
I came across your stuff whilst looking for a new railway layout idea. I have to say that the photos you publish are wonderful and to be praised in every way. Well done to you all. It makes me want to get down to it and have a go! The very best of luck to you all and I will set to to build a layout and have a go.

I retired last August and decided to change my O and HO gauge layout that I built over 25 years ago when my son was in his early teens, which was centered around the 1950 vintage Pennsylvania RR Lionel set I bought for my son’s first birthday and some of my HO’s I had from when I was a kid. Started to tear down and pack away the old layout and now in the planning stages for my new O gauge layout.
My first grandchild is coming in September so I only have a couple of years to complete it.
I have enjoyed your site and looking at many of the layouts posted by your members. You do a great job managing your site.
Thanks!
Tony

I have an elementary electrical knowledge and have a great desire to create these elaborate layouts. I bought my first DCC engine and ready to get started but have had trains for years. I have a layout design in mind but how or where should I start?
Thanks for suggestions.
