And there was me thinking there was a shortage of Christmas Cheer.
Jeremy sent this after my grumble yesterday:
“Hello, been a subscriber for a while now. This is my very modest, very beginner Christmas railway. Thanks for the great tips and tricks!” – Jeremy
Thanks to Jeremy.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.
Best
Al
Finally, a three-rail setup, even though it’s FasTrack! So what if Jeremy’s a beginner? It’s a nice Christmas scene.
That three-rail stuff is crazy-expensive, so he’s obviously committed. It’s the perfect size for youngsters with tiny fingers, and us old pensioners too with questionable eyesight.
Also nice to see Alastair isn’t discriminating against three-rail ‘O’ gauge, with his usual emphasis on HO, N and Z.
Hang in there, Jeremy, there’s a few of us ‘O’ and O27 guys around. Great video, too short.
What a cheering layout ! Cheers one up no end in these dismal days. Well done sir !

Lionel– simply the best.
Well done Jeremy,
great layout keep it up hope mine will look like this one day some grat hints thanks
Very good considering it is 3 rail tinplate
Reminds me of Christmas in Chicago many years ago when my dad would set up the old Lionel train set on mom’s dinning room table. My brother and I were always so excited to see the trains run and the various lights on the layout. We ate in the kitchen during the holidays back then – a sacrifice we never complained about.
Nice;reminds me of Christmas when I was a kid. In the fifties. Thank you for sharing with us.
SUPERB JEREMY. BEEN A BIT HARD GETTING INTO THE SPIRIT THIS YEAR, THIS WAS WELCOME. FATHER AND I PUT A LAYOUT UP MANY YEARS BEFORE HIS PASSING. I REMEMBER SAYING THE SAME WORDS I HEARD HERE…COME ON DADDY…REMINDS ME OF THE GOOD DAYS GONE BYE…KEEP IT UP…
Thanks for the comments. Very much a beginner and this is just a temporary setup. A more permanent build will happen in the years to come. There’s two O gauge trains there, a Santa Fe and a Pennsylvania. Don’t have enough track yet to have them both running. The kids love it and of course I do too.
