Thank you from all my heart for sharing your Christmas greeting with an exciting video of an unbelievable model train layout. I can not imagine the time and effort you gave to the development of the most detailed and outstanding model train home layout ever imagined.
Model railroad hobby has been in the Hinkel family since I was a child and 95 years later I just keep getting younger every day.

Lovely job Dave, and the streamlined Coronations were one of Dad’s best remembered engines, he had Box Brownie snaps of one taken on its debut appearance in Glasgow.If you’re scratching round for something to do in the how about toning the lights down a bit in the signalboxes? We did like to be able to see what’s going on outside when in the old mechanical boxes, and working under fluorescents all night didn’t half give me a headache – much preferred just the Anglepoise on over the booking desk. so very nice . and the snow and Christmas music was great . I felt like I was in you little church while the songs were playing and to get to ride the Santa train was extra special . I waved at the Ginger bread man .
Dave you are brilliant. I do wonder how many hours you spend in a week working on your layout–do you have any idea? Also, do you have a railwayman’s background in your work as the attention to detail is quite spell binding-especially when you have the minicam on the train and you can see all about the layout from normally unseen angles. Deb’s (or Stig) must have the patience of a Saint, I bet she is still waiting for all the DIY jobs to be done that have accrued over the year!!

It was so good I watched it twice today. Fortunately my wireless broadband connection and You Tube didn’t play up, so the whole video went without a stop.
I would love to know the size of the layout. On video it looks huge !
I am restoring the layout my son had many years ago, but have to build a shed to house it in. At 76 years old, these video’s are the encouragement to continue.
