Merry Christmas, everybody.
And I have something nearly as good as present – Fred’s only gone and sent me a video of his stunning layout.
Hope you enjoy it as much as me.
And don’t forget, the clock’s ticking for my $9 silly sale on the Beginner’s Guide.
Course, I’m biased, but why not treat yourself?
Don’t forget, it comes with this free tunnel.
Have a wonderful Christmas and thank you all for the support over the years.
Best
Al
Merry Christmas Al’, that is some detailed video and watching on full screen you are all most there in the streets.
Having the church bell ringing almost punctuates the viewing for a Christmas Morn…………brilliant

All I can say is ‘WOW, and Merry Christmas.
As said STUNNING well done Fred …. Dangerous Dave

Amazing layout Fred!, you’ve really captured some of Boston’s famous landmarks, well done!
Love the night lighting. Beautiful sky. What is the secret?
Kathe
Great video and inspirational to those of us who have yet to start a layout.
Well done. Look forward to seeing more as the other parts of the project are completed
Layout is humbling to say the least. Reminds me of Gorre & Daphid with the spaciousness, even lite stars in the night sky. Allen used mirrors for imaging cities but I don’t see that on Fred’s project. Wonder if I can move in next to a lake lol.

Wow what great use of lights. Very nice and to think it’s N scale
Merry Christmas everyone. Fred, this is brilliant stuff. I get no sense that it is actually N scale. You captured it Beautifully. A great way to start off this sunny and windy day. Best to all around the world. Jonathan

TONS of effort put into this.Your backlight scenery is simply awe inspiring.1 word-SWEEEEEEEEEEET
Beautiful layout, Fred! You are a master of the art. Merry Christmas, Al, and to everyone as well! Warren
When I see a video like this my first reaction is “That’s it! Can’t ever compete, all of my stuff goes on Ebay tomorrow and I will take up collecting butterflies or something similar. Then I go downstairs, start the trains running and decide to wait a bit longer.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
Mike
Simply amazing…. Any chance of an overall shot, dimensions and/or track plans?
Wow,truly magnificent,great looking layout
That kind of lighting you can’t buy. My hats off to you.
Wow, stunning detail work! I also run N Scale and you’ve provided me with some great ideas and inspiration to finish my train room and get back to seriously working on my layout. Merry Christmas to all.
Fred, As a fellow N’er, all I can say is absolutely wonderful. The scope is grand, the detail well done and those night shots, wow!
Please send more pics when you get the harbor and refinery complete.

The Downtown ,with all of the buildings, and the marvelous 3D perspective street blending into your backdrop, are truly worthy of the description “Museum Quality”!
George
Unbelivable and dramatically beautiful especially the lights in the backdrop. Great modeling
Fantastic modeling skills. And a great looking layout. Thanks for sharing.

Oh boy Fred!!! When you said you were into scenery, you werent kidding!! Such life like details. Even the little red aircraft clearance light on top of the mountain peak! Did you use fiber optics for all the tiny lights? I remember you said you did for the cars on the road. Loved the lighting across the water. And you do have a lot of train stuff. Lots of track and lots of engines and rolling stock. I can only imagine the hours this took. Cant wait to see the finished dock area.

Fantastic work Fred – I just love that dam wall and power station and nice touch with the Biechstahl bridge in front of it all – really great. Thanks, Glyn
Hello Al, PLEASE ask Fred where he got the dockside container cranes shown in the video ! I have been looking for a kit for a dockside crane for years.
Jim K
Magnificent detail and an amazing job all around. Truly a brilliant use of perspective at night with the far away tiny lights.
Fred, as others have said, it is a gorgeous set and everything is meticulously finished. I love all the tiny lights in the sky, on the distant shore, and in the hills that give your set tremendous depth of field. I was looking for Orion in your sky but didn’t see him.
A Blessed and Happy Christmas to all of you and, Al, many thanks to you for the years of faithfully sending out these posting!
Awesome doesn’t even begin to cover it!
Beautiful craftsmanship Fred. You have a great talent. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas
WOW!
Made my day, Fred. What an inspiration!
Amazing? Absolutely!
Beautiful work.

Never saw such a captivating night city scene with the distant lighting! Beautiful, rare and dramatic!
I am an “0” gauge guy. Do have some “N” scale. Like to see trains running. In spite of this, this is one of the most beautiful layouts of any scale I have ever seen. The night scene is out of this world. What a great job you have done. Hats off to you. Keep the video’s coming.
very nice layout, but seeing trains run would’ve made it even better
Nice work!
Amazing work, especially for only 2 years. Love the night time scenes.
Inspiring!
Congratulations Fred on building such a detailed layout and sharing it with us. All the best for the New Year and I look forward to seeing more of your layout in video form. Cheers Rossco Adelaide, Austyralia
Fred.
Absolutely stunning buildings and scenery. This layout definitely has that “WOW” factor. Well done.
Fred, you’ve done a marvelous job on your layout. The scenic terrain and detail make for a great eye-catching panorama. Most impressive is the use of the backdrop lighting against the early night sky. And of course, your artistic skills add much to the realism of the perspective of the backdrop. I look forward to your completion of the harbor scene — Arnie, S.I. NY
Absolutely brilliant piece of work, and the night time effects stunning. The night distance effects are great and look real. A beautiful piece of work Fred, well done.
