Eric’s layout update

“Well Al been a few months since I last sent anything so here are some pics.

Have been working on odds and ends. Mainly people hanging around the haz-mat spill in the creek. Some folks my have noticed in last upload the cows are out of scale. This happened because the toxic waste made them O gauge size, lol.

News media pulled up on the scene and interviewing folks.

To the North a helicopter is landing around a few homes so relieve can be made at ranger tower. While to the West, the cliffs are filling up with folks going to the gun shop and range.

Hope members like it, I certainly enjoy reading their stories, ideas and problems.

Thanks Al

Eric”

A huge thanks to Eric!

I do love seeing a layout from the ground up – it makes a fab story. I think that’s why I’m so fond of an update.

And to show you what I mean, here’s Eric’s story from the start:

Eric makes a start on his HO scale

Remember, it’s the start that stops most people…

Best

Great stuff Eric, lots of interesting things going on. Nice little stories. The O gauge above was a surprise – lucky to have lots of space. Love all the firefighting memorabilia as well.

My dad and uncle were ‘fire spotters’ out in Idaho during the 1930’s for the US Forestry Service. When logging was a killer profession in more ways than one.
    Really nice layout.

Eric, I’ve watched the video 5 times now, and each time I’m enjoying something new I had not noticed before. What an outstanding layout! Love all the details, especially the mountain scene..it is awesome! Thanks for posting the pics and the video!

Eric, I love the back story of the chemical spill and all the people you’ve added. Your water effects in the stream/pond are excellent. How did you make them? I also really enjoyed the video — getting to see the trains running is always a treat and the video gives a better close-up view of the new additions. You might try panning a little slower in future videos — some of that in the current video was kind of dizzying. Thank you for sharing your update.

Love you layout and the firefighter tribute around the walls! Is the black & white photo a pic of firefighters or a band? It looks like there might be a horn or two in the back row. Just curious.

Great layout! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great work, Eric! I have changed my attitude towards Firefighters after seeing your imaginative and beautiful achievement. To think they say that the difference between Boy Scouts and firefighters is that Boy Scouts have adult supervision. Seriously, thank you for your work and for your fine contribution. CFS

Wow Eric, I love your layout. So much detail and action going on. Beautiful work on all the scenery. I like your track layout and it allows a lot of running trains. Great job.
