HO scale farm

Peter’s been back in touch with an update on his HO scale farm scene :

“Hi Al,

Working on the On3 portion of my layout.

Still track work to be done running behind the buildings. More trees to add & grass tufts.

Peter”

And now to Brian who has sent in this wonderful cab ride video:

“Here’s a video to show all the sceptics that I do actually have a layout that runs trains.

😂😎😂

Hee hee, my sense of humour.

All the best

Kind regards

Brian”

Lastly, on to Peter:

“Good Morning Alastair,

A short update on my previous submissions.

I had built a diorama based on Don Breckon’s wonderful painting “Riverside Local”.

After part 3, I declared it finished until I install it in my eventual OO layout.

After putting it on a shelf, however, I realized that it looked too unfinished, so I went ahead and completed the river.”

I first had to build the far bank and then I poured 4 layers of Woodland Scenics Realistic water.

This gave a fairly good representation of the water and coloring in the painting.

Tony”

Tony was also kind enough to send in this garden railway too.

You can see all his posts here. It’s fantastic to see a layout come to life like this.

A big thanks to Peter for his HO scale farm update, and to Tony and Brian.

That’s all for today folks – please do keep ’em coming.

And don’t forget the Beginner’s Guide is here if you want to get going on your own layout.

Best

Al

I loved it Peter! To see the galloping goose and station just as they are in Dolores, Colorado brings back memories of being there and then to have a 56 Nomad in your layout is everything that makes a layout perfect! Great work!

  10. Terry Miller says:

I’d like to see a track plan for Brian’s layout. I looked in the Hall of Fame section but didn’t see one. Also wonder if the upper level connects somehow to the lower one.
To say I am jealous is an understatement!

Does Brian have a Ugears.us locomotive? I like to make ugears locomotive as much as working on my layout.

  17. Frank says:

All great stuff. I liked the bridge and the water beneath it.

The other photos were cool with the dramatic background. It gave a feel of what it represented.

The video was just neat. The locomotive mounted camera lets people view the layout in a very different and more intimate way.

Awesome ride so we could enjoy some nostalgic memories from a time past. So cool to see all the old stuff as it travels through a journey that some of us can only think about…Love the two ridges and wonder how you d created that with the seemingly rock walls…Gives me a idea for my layout.
Always comforting to see other layouts to express there imagination and share with us the devotion and care you have put into your awesome world…
Lot of your loco’s look European, along with some of your cars and and trucks.
Great scenery and mountain back drop….Superb!
